Storybook Mountain has established a world-wide reputation for the consistently high quality of its wines. The wine tradition began at Storybook Mountain in the early 1880's when its red clay-loam soils were first planted to Zinfandel and Cabernet. Here the ideal match of terroir and grape allows these varietals to express their full potential.
Storybook Mountain's sought-after wines are hand-cra...fted from the estate's own grapes grown without the use of insecticides or herbicides. They are aged at least twelve months in the best French, Hungarian and American oak barrels into the mineral rich volcanic rock underlying the hand tended vineyards.
Proprietors Jerry and Sigrid Seps' wines are famed for intensity and elegance. These well balanced wines have the appeal to be enjoyed in their youth, the depth to age gracefully, and the quality to be ranked among the finest wines in the world.
