Mission:

The motto of STI is “Here for Good.” Here for Good has two meanings. The events are “here for good” with plans to keep the events running year after year. STI is “here for good” by partnering with a variety of nonprofits in Stillwater and shares a portion of our profits from our events with them. We have donated to Valley Outreach Food shelf, Valley Friendship Club, United Way of Stillwater, Stillwater Kiwanis, Stillwater Lions, Salem Lutheran, Watermark Church, Youth Advantage, Community Thread, Zephyr Theater and more.

About Us:

Stillwater Harvest Fest, held the second weekend of October each year, is one of the premier events in downtown Stillwater and one of the largest of its kind in the Midwest. Several times, Stillwater Harvest Fest was the number one giant pumpkin weigh off in the world. That is determined by the combined weight of the Top 10 pumpkins brought to the scale. In 2010 we had a World Record pumpkin. The pumpkin was brought to New York City and enjoyed a bit of celebrity… The grower and pumpkin made an appearance on the Today Show and was exhibited at a the Botanical Gardens in New York City. In 2020, we were determined to continue our event in some capacity and succeeded. We invited growers and their pumpkins to be present and presented the weigh-off virtually with the assistance of our local cable network, Valley Access Channels. We live streamed our event and paid out the prizes to the growers.

Each year since we have broken either a MN or WI state record. In 2015 we briefly held a North American record. Both days of the event end in a #smashinggoodtime when we drop giant pumpkins from 100' crane!
