About Us:
The Denver Post Pedal The Plains is a one-of-a-kind cycling event celebrating the agricultural roots and frontier heritage of Colorado’s Eastern Plains. Offerings include a three day tour, family loop ride and a gran fondo. Billed as “the end of the cycling season bash”, participants will enjoy delicious meal with locally grown ingredients, featured entertainment and festivities, and local accommodations.
While the tour route changes every year, highlighting different communities and attractions across eastern Colorado, the benefits and responsibilities of each host community will remain the same. Benefits include publicity, positive economic impact, fund-raising opportunities and a grant provided to three predetermined non-profit agencies. Host communities will provide home stays, inexpensive community meals, and entertainment.
