Pattison's Today

Owned by Shaun and Jericho Pattison since 2006, the skating rink is “affordable fun the whole family can enjoy,” according to Shaun. “We are a community resource for fun outings with family and friends . ”

Pattison’s North has been owned and operated by the Pattison family for three generations.

Pattison's Flashback

Pattison’s North was established in 1951 by Pat and Evelyn Pattison. The Pattison family moved east following a fire at their rink in Federal Way that devastated the first family skating rink owned by Evelyn’s father in 1951.

Pat and Evelyn owned and operated Pattison’s North until 1974. At that time they sold the rink to their daughter Bobbie and her husband Ben Winkler. The Winkler’s owned and managed the rink for thirty-three years before retiring in 2006.

At that time the Winkler’s were approached by several local developers with offers to purchase the Spokane landmark only to demolish it to build houses. The family fended off lucrative offers because they were set on maintaining the rink for future generations.

The Winkler’s decided to sell the business to their nephew Shaun Pattison and his wife, Jericho. By doing so, they kept the Pattison tradition of owning the north-side roller rink.

The skating center is still run with the same values and ideals of the previous two owners. "We will continue to provide Spokane with affordable family entertainment for many years to come," says Shaun Pattison.
