Our Missionn
1997 five families noticed that their culture was rapidly disappearing this spurred them to action when the decided to "do something about it". After many months, blood, sweat, and tears, the Navajo Village dream came to fruition. What they decided to do was to create a traditional Navajo homesite. The homesite includes many structures. Two female hogans, one male hogan a female sweat lodge, a bread oven, and many structures commonly translated as "shade houses". It is this setting where they teach visitors about their traditions.Â
