Mission Statement:
Mouse River Players is an all-volunteer community theatre organization. We are dedicated to providing live, quality theatre experiences, at an affordable cost, to the community of Minot and the surrounding rural areas. We encourage youth programs, workshops, and outreach to all ages in an effort to nurture an appreciation of the arts. We do not discriminate in any way.
Mouse River Players is Minot’s oldest community theater. We began in 1971 and since that year we’ve performed in various locations in and around the Minot area. Youth programs and family theatre shows have always been a part of our season.
In 2004 we purchased “The Old Labor Temple” in downtown Minot. Volunteer efforts continue to improve the building and make it a comfortable setting for live theatre presentations and community uses. In 2006, we named the theatre “The Arlene” in honor of longtime arts’ supporter Arlene Saugstad.
We appreciate contributions from businesses and individuals. It is through that support that we are able to maintain our vision of bringing the best live, quality theater to the most important people we know—our audience! Volunteers are always welcome. It you’re interested, we’ll find something for you!
