McIlroy Wines is one of the world's premier wine producing areas, Located in Sonoma County, California, McIlroy Wines is a small, family based winery that creates outstanding wines. Only a small number of cases are produced each year, allowing each of our wines to get individual attention. The result is exceptional wines that receive a great deal of recognition.William McIlroy has been making wine for over 25 years; winning numerous medals; and working at top wineries in Sonoma County.
McIlroy Wines were planted in 1972 when Will McIlroy and his family purchased a fifty-two acre farm on Westside Road in Sonoma County. They planned to clear the existing prune orchard and grow premium wine grapes. With a small investment of money and a lot of work, what is now known as Aquarius Ranch was born. Today the McIlroy's grow some of the best wine grapes in the Russian River Valley Appellation.Every year we make Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel as well as small lots of other wine. We also have a new Sampler Club.
