Open: Year Round
The winery was founded in 1874 by French immigrant, Jean Laurent, who named it Laurent Winery. Bruce Markham purchased it in 1977, and renamed it Markham Vineyards. In 1988 under new ownership, the winery began a multi-million dollar renovation and expansion around the original stone cellar that Laurent had built.Through all of the changes, the winery never stopped operating, making Markham the fourth oldest continuously operating winery in Napa County. The winery produces richly flavored Bordeaux and Burgundian grape varieties, as well as Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and a Rose of Pinot Noir. Their flagship Merlot is from their Yountville and Oak Knoll vineyards.
