Higher Ground Fair

Higher Ground Fair
975 Snowy Range Road
307-223-4399

The Higher Ground Fair came to life within the Wyoming nonprofit organizations, Action Resources International and Feeding Laramie Valley, as a means of celebrating and promoting the values of rural Rocky Mountain living that draw from age-old tradition to create sustainable communities for the future.

The Higher Ground Fair seeks to be both a place and an experience that nurtures the intersection of art, music, crafts, agriculture, gardening, healthy foods, culture, grassroots social action, holistic health practices and sustainable living - with a focus on the six Rocky Mountain states of  Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, and First Nations located within them.

The Higher Ground Fair is a place to delight in self-sufficiency and community collaboration, to spotlight small-to-medium scale farmers and ranchers; small business owners and entrepreneurs; artists, and creative lovers of everyday life.  Inspired by the Common Ground Fair held in Maine since the 1970s, the Higher Ground Fair is designed to welcome all people of all ages who are eager to enjoy the diverse delights of regionally sourced playing, learning and enjoyment through demonstrations, competitions, presentations, displays, concerts, activities and vendors.
