The Guthrie County Historical Village, located on a beautiful 4-acre complex near the Middle Raccoon River and old Lenon Mill Park on the southwest side of Panora, Iowa, features ten buildings and numerous exhibits that explore the history of Guthrie County from 1850 to the early-20th Century.
The museum is a county-wide project which began in 1968 with the acquisition of the Panora Depot. The majority of our collection has been donated by families and friends in the surrounding communities. There is a small admission fee to tour the Village. We also furnish a donation box for free-will donations which are always appreciated. Donations play a crucial role in Guthrie County Historical Village activities by providing funding for restoration, projects, and new programs and events. If you would like to donate a gift of money
