Crystal Grove Diamond Mine and Campground

Our spacious, wooded campground is right next to our own “Herkimer Diamond” mines.   We invite you to enjoy a natural campground setting with modern conveniences.  Spend the day collecting beautiful “Herkimer Diamonds” and then stroll across the footbridge back to your campsite for a leisurely dinner.  Whether you are a tenter, an RVer, or would prefer to stay in a comfortable cabin, we have a space for you.  Or just come for the day to visit our three collecting areas.

The mines and campground are open daily from mid-April through mid-October.  The camp store sells ice, firewood, camping basics, mining tools, gift items, and beautiful mineral specimens from around the world, as well as an extensive assortment of our own “Herkimer Diamond” crystals and matrix specimens.

While you’re here, enjoy the many attractions of central New York and the nearby Adirondack State Park.  This area is rich with historical sites, beautiful birds and wildflowers,   outdoor activities, and natural wonders; there is sure to be something for everyone.
