About Alaska Live Steamers
Alaska Live Steamers, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization chartered by the State of Alaska to serve the community. ALS is a group of scale outdoor railroad enthusiasts operating a non-for-profit 7 1/2 inch gauge railroad in Wasilla, Alaska. We are all volunteers and find various ways to share our love of railroading.
Volunteers can help in many ways:
Work the train station
Build and maintain the fastest growing railroad in Alaska
Use your specialty expertise to help run or maintain the railroad
Mow grass, weed flower beds
Tell your train stories
Learn to be a conductor or engineer and operate real trains
Interview others about their experiences
There are two types of membership available on an annual basis.
