Summer Abstracts is an interpretational theme inviting artists to think about summer in an abstract context focusing on color, shape, design, texture, and movement within the context of what it means to consider the approaching summer. What are those feelings and senses that are evoked with the approach of summer? What are we, as artists, anticipating. How do we express that? This exhibit will surely excite and inspire the viewer to think about the season of summer in a variety of new ways and with an eagerness to explore new options.

Juror, Elizabeth Tardif, is the founder of Cherry Street Art, an art advisory and consulting service that provides promotional services for artists as well as providing a resource for consumers who want to purchase and invest in visual art.
