Join local volunteers as they demonstrate how sorghum is made by watching them cook down the juices into sweet molasses. The team will be showing the step by step process of making sorghum, including having a mule turning the mill. A biscuit and gravy breakfast with sorghum will be served from 8am to 11am. Breakfast is $2 extra with admission. Also, enjoy the open historic house and explore the cave. The event continues throughout the afternoon and evening with several local bluegrass and old time bands. Local vendors, food trucks, Ford Model A car show, hit and miss engines and more will allow visitors to enjoy the site all day. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children twelve and under. Tipton-Haynes members are free.
