10:00am: Historic Lewes Farmers Market! at Lewes Farmers Market

The Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLewes Farmers Market) is a non-profit, open-air, producer-only farmers market located in Lewes, DE. Plenty of parking is available! The HLewes Farmers Market provides a family-friendly, community gathering place where consumers may purchase the freshest local foods available. RBJF is proud to provide free entertainment for this market!

12:30pm: Norman Brown And Keiko Matsui & the Eboni Strings at Cape Henlopen Performing Arts Theater

Norman Brown is an American smooth jazz guitarist and singer. He has been called one of the 50 greatest guitarists of all time and a master of improvisation.He effortlessly fuses the finer elements of jazz, R&B, pop and blues to create his own insatiable and instantly identifiable and soulful sound. Joy emanates from this Grammy Award-winning contemporary jazz guitarist when he is playing. The guitar is simply an extension of him.

Keiko Matsui, the first Japanese Artist to top Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Charts for 3 consecutive weeks, is a Japanese keyboardist and composer, specializing in smooth jazz and New-age music. She will be joined on stage with the Eboni Strings. Keiko's last appearance on our stages with the Eboni Strings was a resounding success and sold out quickly!

1:00pm: Club Phred w/The Blues Brothers Horns at Rusty Rudder Deck

Club Phred is a perennial favorite party band that grace our stage every year. They are a group of musicians who on average have over thirty years of professional experience. They share a love of music, from the early days of rock and roll through the present, including rock, r&b, jazz and funk.

This year they will be joined by musical icons Tom "Bones" Malone and "Blue Lou" Marini of Blues Brothers Horns fame and Frank Greene of Count Basie Orchestra/Late Show with David Letterman - CBS Orchestra (shown in order on image below).

2:30pm: Deanna Bogart at Rusty Rudder Deck

With 40 years as a road musician, award-winning bandleader, and multi instrumentalist, Deanna Bogart is adored by her fans for her adventurous, original, and diverse music career. She is recognized for her dazzling keyboards, soulful saxophone, smoky vocals, and cut-above songwriting.

Known for their sophisticated instrumental sound, England's Acoustic Alchemy emerged in the 1980s playing a distinctive blend of jazz, classical, flamenco, and new age. Celebrating over 30 years as a group, multiple albums and awards, AA continues to be a top crowd pleaser in the Jazz arena!

3:00pm: Rick Braun & Peter White And Gerald Albright at Rehoboth Beach Convention Center

Rick Braun is a dynamic trumpeter, composer, and producer, with over 20 #1 Smooth Jazz hits. He has enjoyed a career longevity that is rare in this business. He has crafted his own distinctive sound and become a staple on contemporary jazz radio. He has produced No. 1 hits for David Benoit, Marc Antoine, and former Rod Stewart band sidekick, Jeff Golub. Braun achieved collaborative success on massive hits with Boney James, as a member of RnR with saxophonist Richard Elliot, and with BWB, a powerhouse trio completed by Grammy® winners Kirk Whalum and Norman Brown. He has made a mark staying true to his own musical voice and eclectic influences that have allowed him to collaborate across genres with some of the biggest names in music, including Tina Turner, Tom Petty, Sade, Natalie Cole and REO Speedwagon.

Over the years, Peter White has maintained a reputation as one of the most versatile and prolific acoustic guitarists on the contemporary jazz landscape. Armed with an unparalleled combination of lyricism and energy, he combines elements of jazz, pop and classical guitar to create a sound that is singular and at the same time accessible to a broad audience.

Gerald Albright is one of the most celebrated jazz musicians of our time. He has earned four Grammy Awards and nine nominations for his soulful saxophone and bass guitar skills. Albright has worked as a studio musician and a touring artist with some of the biggest names in music, such as Anita Baker, Phil Collins, Whitney Houston, and Quincy Jones. He has also appeared in TV shows, video games, and presidential inaugurations. He is known for his versatile style that blends gospel, Motown, funk, and R&B influences. In September 2021 Gerald received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joseph R. Biden.

7:30pm: Diego Figueiredo Trio at Epworth United Methodist Church

GRAMMY AWARDS nominated guitarist Diego Figueiredo is a virtuoso with an infectious, joyful feeling that will leave you amazed and happy. Figueiredo, 42, was born in Franca, Brazil, and is currently based in Sarasota, Florida. He honed his skills at Berklee College of Music with foundational classical training in his early years. Although he has been buzzing around the jazz scene and touring the world for years, he remains somewhat under the radar, a musician’s musician waiting for his deserved close-up.

Wherever he goes, and whatever musical scenario he finds himself in, Figueiredo proudly bears and promotes his Brazilian heritage. “I am an ambassador of Brazilian music,” he declared. “I feel honored to represent that. I love the jazz, but my heart is Brazilian.”

8:00pm: Jazz, Funk, Soul at Lewes Elementary School

Smooth jazz supergroup Jazz Funk Soul formed in the mid-2010s as a collaborative trio featuring Jeff Lorber, Chuck Loeb, and Everette Harp. They released two albums with 2014's Grammy-nominated "Jazz Funk Soul" and 2016's "More Serious Business". After Loeb's death in 2017, guitarist Paul Jackson, Jr. joined for 2019's "Life and Times" and 2022's "Forecast", both of which honored Loeb and continued to showcase the trio's hooky, groove-oriented sound.

9:00pm: Boney James at Rehoboth Beach Convention Center

During his 30-year career, Boney James has earned four Grammy nominations (“I’m not gonna lie... I’d still love a statue,” he says), two NAACP Image Award nominations and a Soul Train Award, while a dozen of his albums have landed at #1 on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Album chart. His collaborators in the past include a who’s who of R&B and soul: Raheem DeVaughn, Faith Evans, George Benson, George Duke, Dwele, Al Jarreau, Philip Bailey, Anthony Hamilton, Jaheim, Eric Benét, Dave Hollister, Stokley Williams, Kenny Lattimore and Angie Stone. For the inimitable Boney James, life begins at 60. The cat in the hat is back and better than ever, enjoying life with his wife of 37 years, actress/director Lily Mariye.

“What drives me is my love of making music and my desire for people to hear what I’ve made,” he says. “I still love the communal aspect of playing live. There’s nothing else like it.”

9:00pm: Four 80 East at Rusty Rudder

Four80East is a Toronto-based electro-jazz duo that’s all about the groove. Drawing from their diverse musical influences, Rob DeBoer and Tony Grace have created a signature sound that combines electronic production with live instrumentation. Although the band was born as a studio project, DeBoer and Grace have been able to transform their layered and captivating sonic productions into a high-energy live show, with the help of the many world-class musicians who join them on stage.
