9-12 am. Chinese Thread Books
By: Mignon Hatton

The women of the Zhen Xian Bao region of China would fold paper books with many compartments to hold the sewing accessories used in decorating elaborate costumes that are worn during festivals and ceremonies. Yet in themselves they are significant works of art reflecting distinct local artistic styles. The books are created using beautiful handmade paper which are enhanced by the magical folds. Each fold leads the viewer to another compartment ending with a full-size compartment for holding patterns.

Design your own take-along Thread Book. This fantastic book will provide a way to take your sewing thread, needles and embroidery thread with you to work on the go.
