Independence Veterans Day of Honor

Join us in celebrating the brave men and women who have served our great nation. We honor them in the 2024 community event, Independence Veterans Day of Honor!

Events will include:

- Veterans Appreciation Breakfast at VFW post 1186, 113 East Myrtle from 7:00 a.m. -8:30 a.m.

- Patriotic Rock Hunt in Downtown Independence

- Military Exhibit at the Independence Historical Museum and Art Center, in the lower level, 123 North 8th from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

- Veterans Freedom Square Memorial Tribute, 201 North Penn. Avenue at 10:30 a.m. A Fallen Soldier Presentation will follow.

- Heroes and Hot Rods Car Show at AutoZone, 500 North Penn. Avenue from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

- Veterans Day Parade, downtown at 2:00 p.m.
