500 Days in the Wild, an epic documentary film which follows filmmaker Dianne Whelan's 6-year journey to complete all 24000km of the land and water trails across North America on the world's longest trail. By day 10 she had to burn that 500 days schedule and surrender to a trail that has never been done.

The 2-hour documentary has been edited from over 800 hours of footage and weaves together adventure, personal reflections, stunning wildlife, and human connection amidst the rigorous and beautiful TCT Trail, stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific Coast and to the Arctic Ocean.

500 Days in the Wild dives deeply into both the physical and emotional travails of tackling an almost impossible task—and surprises with cinematic action, intimate experiences, and visual poetry. Whelan went as a filmmaker not an athlete. So the film is a visual and audio delight and surprisingly also a. comedy.

With music from artists Joni Mitchell, The Tragically Hip, First Aid , Xavier Rudd and more, this is an unforgettable journey and an unforgettable film.
