Feline Frenzy at the Alaska Zoo

Feline Frenzy (formerly Big Cat Jubilee) is a public event day devoted to the felids at the Alaska Zoo! Learn about wild cats as well as domestic cats by enjoying keeper talks, observing zoo cat enrichment, hands-on cat biofacts, craft stations for little ones and more. Regular admission rates and membership use apply at the gate. Event Highlights from 12-4 include The Pizza Box Food Truck, Kona Ice, Kape Espresso Tayo Zoo Coffee Shop open, Gift Shop open, Juicy Harps on live on the lawn stage, petting zoo 1-3pm, 12:30 Keeper Talk at Lynx, 2pm Keeper talk at Snow Leopard, 3pm Zoo Educator talk in the Gateway Hall on Amur tigers with some hands-on biofacts for exploration, dress in a cat costume and enter a costume contest at 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Other activities include a cat toy/craft creation station in greenhouse by The Workshop and booths from partners, Fashion Pact pop-up shop in greenhouse, Cat Rescue Groups on lawn, Big Cat Bio Facts at Tiger, Snow Leopard, and Lynx as well as cotton candy for sale. Flying Dutchman selling pastries and earrings on lawn (all proceeds go to animal rescue groups) and you can get your face painted too by Forged in Glitter. Community partners: The Workshop (Creation Station in Greenhouse), Forged in Glitter, Clear Creek Cat Rescue, Crazy Cat Café and Rescue, Alaska’s Forgotten Felines, Flying Dutchman, AK Cat and Dog Rescue, Fashion Pact.
