Get in the Revolutionary spirit as the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. Join Morris County Historical Society, the Washington Neighborhood Association of New Jersey, local leaders, and generous donors at a ribbon-cutting to mark the restoration of the replica Revolutionary War cannon across from Acorn Hall. Located at the intersection of Morris and Lafayette avenues, the cannon serves as a symbol of Morristown’s unique contribution to our nation’s fight for independence and the town’s rich and diverse history. In addition, the 29th annual Morristown Festival on The Green will be held noon to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
