Exhibition: Through the Lens of Faith: 135 Years of Courier Photojournalism

A retrospective of 135 years of photojournalism from the Catholic Courier, "Through the Lens of Faith" celebrates relationships among art, faith and community.

The Catholic Courier will turn 135 in October 2024. In celebration of this milestone, the Rochester Catholic Press Association, which publishes the Catholic Courier, will host an art-gallery style exhibition offering a retrospective of historic and artistic photojournalism from the archives of the Catholic Courier and predecessor titles.  

"Through the Lens of Faith' will offer the public a historical perspective on the development of photojournalism over the years and an opportunity to observe the intersections of local history, art and faith as captured in the Courier's archives. See rare award-winning photographs while reflecting on the shared histories of the Courier, the Diocese of Rochester, and the City of Rochester and surrounding communities.

St. John's Home, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary, is proud to partner with the RCPA to bring this exhibition to the Rochester community.
