Concert Series: The Jim Dandy Band

The Jim Dandy Band is a classic rock, blues and country cover band formed in Ann Arbor in 2012.

The band consists of Jim Burd (lead vocals, rhythm guitar and harmonica), Dave Johnson (drums and background vocals), Josh Burd (bass and background vocals), and Peter Blackshear (lead guitar and background vocals).

The band has remained active for over a decade, playing regularly at bars, VFW halls, American Legions, and festivals throughout Washtenaw, Jackson, and Lenawee counties. Since their formation, The Jim Dandy Band has been able to build a strong local fanbase through their performances and social media presence.

The band recorded a 12 song LP in 2021 during the COVID pandemic.

With a catalogue of more than 50 songs, The Jim Dandy Band can provide a night full of entertainment.
