Cedar Mill Cider Festival

Cedar Mill Cider Festival
Sunday, Oct 6, 2024 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm
John Quincy Adams Young House
12050 NW Cornell

Since 2007, the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) has sponsored our local celebration of food, music, and history on the grounds of the historic JQA Young House on Cornell near 119th.

We are delighted to bring back our community celebration. See how the pioneers made cider with antique, hand-cranked presses, and sample the results. Boy Scout Troop 208 looks forward every year to running the antique presses to turn out free fresh cider from 1000 lbs. of apples, donated by Market of Choice. Grab a glass or two, you'll be amazed at the taste.

Listen to the bluegrass and old-time music of the Whiskey Deaf Duet. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch.

Entertainment:
The Whiskey Deaf Duet (Annie Staninec and John Kael) is the musical entertainment this year. This duo plays mostly bluegrass, early country, "old-time," and a few oddball numbers a bit outside those lines a mix of vocal and instrumental, and mostly on guitar and fiddle. We know you will enjoy their music.

For the kids
THPRD will bring along the Rec Mobile to provide games and activities under the spreading hickory tree, including pioneer coloring pages.
