Cavalli, Il Giasone
Legendary warrior Giasone (Jason) sets out to find the Golden Fleece, in order to receive the throne. First stop is at Lenno where he falls in love with Queen Isifile and promises to marry her but instead leaves Isifile, pregnant and unwed.
Next stop is Colchis, where he meets the enchanting Queen Medea who would be happy to ditch her fiance for Giasone. They set off to claim Giasone's prize but fate has another plan, leaving them shipwrecked in a storm, and arriving on land to face Isifile, the father of Giasone's twin sons, who has been stripped of her title and home.
Medea suggests Giasone get Isifile out of the way, but Giasone realizes he loves Isifile and is wracked by guilt at the thought of murdering her, and begs for her forgiveness.
