59th Annual Apple Butter Festival
The Hueston Woods Apple Butter Festival provides a vignette of 19th century farm life and features the creation of apple butter in the pioneer fashion throughout the event. A great family activity conveniently located for all Butler & Preble County residents. In addition to apple butter sales, a wide variety of apples, cider, pumpkins and gourds can be purchased on the grounds along with a huge variety of crafters and vendors. Tours are conducted through the Doty homestead and the barn, both of mid 1800's vintage and exhibiting a broad display of museum artifacts. Each year demonstrations of pioneer crafts are featured along with a theme program.
